The fastest way to get there is by bus, which takes 30 to 35 minutes, while the walk takes approximately 1.5 hours, depending on each person’s physical condition.
Bus to Machu Picchu
To take the bus from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu, you must first purchase a ticket from the Consettur company, which costs:
• Round trip Foreign Adult = 24 USD / One Way 12 USD
• Round trip Foreign Child = 12 USD / One Way 7 USD
To purchase a Consettur Bus ticket, you can do so online by visiting their website Consettur.com or in the town of Aguas Calientes.

Hike to Machu Picchu
Another way to get to Machu Picchu from Aguas Calientes is on foot. There is a marked trail that you must follow until you reach the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu (Archaeological Site). Along the way, you’ll be able to see beautiful landscapes and experience one of the unique adventures you can experience.
